Committees
Committees play a vital role in the development and sustainability of Casa de Venezuela as a nonprofit organization. They allow for the delegation of responsibilities, ensure diverse perspectives are considered, and promote active participation from members of the community. Through well-structured committees—focused on areas such as finance, outreach, culture, and education—the organization can operate more efficiently, make informed decisions, and stay aligned with its mission. Committees also help foster leadership, accountability, and collaboration, which are essential for long-term growth and for building trust with supporters, partners, and the Venezuelan diaspora it serves.
Advisory
The Advisory Committee shall give advice and recommendations in areas of expertise that are key for effective management and operations of CDV. The Advisory Committee has no legal responsibilities and is formed to give advice and recommendations to CDV’s Board of Directors. The Advisory Committee will typically focus on technical assistance, shared activities and resources, assessment of a program’s impact, and serving as a public advocate for Casa de Venezuela, Inc.
Communications
The Communications Committee’s role is crucial in ensuring effective communication both internally and externally. Their responsibilities may include: Developing communication strategies, Managing social media and online presence, Creating promotional materials, Public relations, Internal communication, Monitoring and evaluation
ByLaws
The Bylaws Committee of Casa de Venezuela is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates in compliance with its governing documents and maintains alignment with its mission and goals. The committee serves as a guardian of the bylaws, reviewing and recommending updates or revisions to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee of Casa de Venezuela will focus on developing and implementing strategies to secure financial resources necessary to support the organization’s mission, programs, and community initiatives. This committee will play a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and growth of Casa de Venezuela by building relationships with donors, businesses, and other funding sources.

Membership
The Membership Committee shall recruit and, in collaboration with the Secretary, assist in retaining members and maintaining accurate data files. Increase membership resulting in expanding attendance and support to the programs established by the organization.
Technology
The Technology Committee shall develop and maintain an appropriate communication vehicle(s) to disseminate information to the membership about the activities of the organization and to foster collaboration between members
Health and Wellbeing
The Health and Wellbeing Committee’s role focuses on promoting the physical, mental, and emotional health of the organization’s board, members and community the organization serves.
Young Proffesional
The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) role is to engage and support young professionals in becoming active participants and leaders within the organization’s community.
