Te invitamos a un taller especial de manualidades donde exploraremos la rica tradición de los Diablos Danzantes de Yare, una manifestación cultural venezolana reconocida por su colorido, espiritualidad y creatividad. Este taller práctico te brindará la oportunidad de diseñar y crear tu propia máscara, guiado por artistas y promotores culturales con experiencia.
ROOT & RHYTHMS
La Influencia Africana en la Diáspora Venezolana y en Latinoamerica
Casa de Venezuela Philadelphia, en colaboración con Taller Puertorriqueño, se enorgullece en anunciar Venezuelan Expressions 2025: “Raíces y Ritmos – La Influencia Africana en la Diáspora Venezolana”, un vibrante evento cultural y educativo que explora el poderoso legado de la herencia africana en las tradiciones venezolanas y caribeñas.
El programa se llevará a cabo el jueves 19 de junio de 2025 (Día de Juneteenth), de 5:30 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en el auditorio de Taller Puertorriqueño. Incluirá un taller educativo interactivo y una presentación en vivo liderada por el aclamado artista afrovenezolano Carlos Talez @carlost_afro, acompañado por cuatro talentosos músicos. La reconocida historiadora Evelyne Laurent-Perrault @evelauper co-facilitará el taller y ofrecerá un contexto histórico sobre las raíces africanas que han moldeado la identidad y diáspora venezolana.
